Bill Whitaker
Director of Instruction
Originally from Horseheads New York, Bill first
began teaching golf at the age of 16 at the Elmira College Junior Golf Camp. Working
under some of the top golf instructors in the country Bill was very fortunate to be
exposed to a wide variety of teaching methods and styles at a young age. With close
to 25 years experience as an Instructor his own teaching skills are finely tuned.
Bill began working at Arcadian Shores Golf Club in 1992. In 1994 he established the
Resort Golf Academy and became the Director of Instruction at the Hilton Myrtle Beach
Golf Resort. In 1998 Bill began working for Wyndham Hotels as Director of Golf Instruction
at the Wyndham Myrtle Beach Resort and has also taught at Wyndham Resorts in the Caribbean.
Currently Bill is working as Director of Golf Instruction for Kingston Plantation which
includes the Hilton Myrtle Beach Resort and Embassy Suites Hotel.
A member of the P.G.A. of America, Bill has taught players of all ages and skill levels
and has graduated hundreds of satisfied students. He and his staff of teaching
professionals look forward to helping your family or group with any part of your golf game.
Lori Desimone
Teaching Professional
Lori began her career as a junior in Western Massachusetts and later competed as the number
one player on the Boston College Ladies Golf Team. Lori finished her collegiate career in
the top 10 of the East Coast Athletic Conference while graduating with academic honors.
Lori moved to Myrtle Beach in 1997 and continued her career as a top ranked amateur in the
Carolinas. During that time, Lori was working at Arcadian Shores Golf Club and in 1999,
Lori relinquished her amateur status to compete on the Futures Golf Tour. At the same time,
she began her professional teaching career at the Resort Golf Academy. While at the Resort
Golf Academy, Lori has been instrumental in developing and coordinating Ladies Instructional
Programs.
